Last Friday
POF
United Independent and Salvation together did a nice POF raid this friday, everything went smooth we got a lot armor drops and never did our camp get overrun. I will spare you the details on the drops because people are bored of those. I will make the exception to 2 items, because I think they are rare enough to justify this. Yotyot --- He won I think the 3rd Carmine Robe on server, congrats my friend! Carathos --- He won the Bone Clasped Girdle of the Dracoliche, congrats man! We attempted to take down CT but we took little too long to clear the zone, we had 3 mobs left when the repops started. We attacked him anyway, but everyone was tired and it was unsuccesful. We got him down to 10% but he just regened to fast. We will get him next time! Overall it was a great raid. Many thanks to all the people from other guilds that showed up on such a short notice, and I hope you guys had as much fun as I did.

about the UI raid
After i fell asleep on sunday, after dying on PoF...UI and Salvation raid broke up (no idea what happened)... DG then moved in and i joined up with them after getting my body (yay). Later on a lot of DG members left and I took the planning and pulling (i think i was crazy at the time...kill me someone....please???). Rydryder (sp?) and i cleared most of the rest of the zone up to the CT area (just didnt have time in the end). But back to my point, during this time, Ryd did a bad pull and got himself killed by 3 Frightfingers... I managed to grab two of them and trained them back to camp. We got (from only two mobs) Carmine Boots....congrats Zuan 4th Carmine Robe....Congrats Seering!! Next time we have an arguement over looting rights though, ill strangle you guys. If theres disagreement, just vote with Aye or Nay. Dont try and put your own opinion across. We will never have time for it. Anyways...just a footnote...little long but my brain stopped working after CT Death Touched me. Shara "They dont call me a Knight of Hate for nothing." PS Anyone want to help me get 49 back now?

there shouldnt be arguing over loot. thats the problem lol. GREEEEEEEED!!!! if an item in a game means so much to someone...have it. the game isnt going anywhere, the loot will always drop again at some point. i heard a piece of druid loot POOFED due to arguing...that just is lame i gotta say. i dont think a brain surgeon is needed to keep things simple. everyone has to say the looting rules so everyone knows it. everyone may not like every rule, but it has to be defined, just avoid mishaps. WOW what a concept! when everyone is dead tired, thats not a good time to GOOF up looting. everyone is far more likely to get hot headed. btw not knocking anyone here, just saying we all gotta have everything setup before you go in, lets avoid things before they happen. IMO, Fear was a mess this weekend. I helped DG/Insurr break in Thurs night and all went smooth till noon on fri when i Left to go into work. Sat, I messaged up Kegolan and he said they needed me to pull. Most of the 5 hours i was there, on sat, was bitching about loot, then as soon as they deciede to help someone they allow a Druid piece decay because someone had fallen asleep and another druid had the pleasure of watching the corpse go poof.(everyone knew danm well he was asleep) Now, most raids i go on that are filled with players from alot of different guilds are unorginized. This one was filled with so much greed, it was ridiculous. Live an learn, I guess. Fear is so easy after break in the only chance of dying is someone being stupid and not listening or getting fingered be CT. Being a monk I know we are the ones who usually get it, and these people were not worth the risk of my life and xp. No disrespect to anyone....but Rhamel, Thursday, fear was empty there were no pops....doesn't a break in mean actually trying to get in and get a footing? (sorry if I'm confused on this) I was running around the empty fear for about 45min, I got some great screenshots , and

Thanks Rhamel......... Burro, I belive I know what guild you are referring too. The Ogre trio (Kaane, Me, and Itchybottom) share the same frustrations to say the least. Very true, Coming in before a Pop is not quite as hard as g into a full pop though far easier than a repop. But, this really isn't the point of the post. As you may have noticed I'm not a person who talks about a person from a guild but talks about names. So who are the greedy people? Only 2 groups I can imagine would be TS and us of course. Why is calling guilds and people by names so hard? What is greed? Is greed a group of 50+ gamers who want best for eachother or is greed an individual who wants best for himself over the other individuals? Quote: Sounds like individuals being greedy. People "offer" help which is not needed. It's appreciated non the less. Of course _a druid_ or _a wizard_ offering help in PoH is hard to find. Why? Because there is no loot for them. There are ways to get invited, for example, start offering help in a plane where your armor does not drop. Ha><0r shouts "Hey red team, you are allowed to capture our flag without interference. This action is to prove we are not greedy. We just want you to get even with us."

i would go on raids with you guys for the experiance of learning the area...the weekend we took pof after you guys left we didnt have the people at first...so i ran around pof with no gear on and pet out waiting for first pop to waste me...ended up having the people to hold it. sad that some peoples true colors come out even in a game. also i gotta agree with Rham's post way up there somewhere...we often judge guilds based on certain peoples actions and words. we all do it...its kinda silly though and i try lately to avoid it. i didnt much care for some guilds weeks ago..but as i think about it i got many buddies in them so made me rethink. ::welcomes you all to EQ anon::: hi my name is Morz....and i have a problem....... It wasn't us (TS) - we've been doing things with SF for the past few weeks without incident and as far as I knew we still are. In actuality, I think SF's gotten most of the lucky rolls of the dice in our combined raids. Bastards. Ogmuk, ya paranoid bastard(!), I doubt it was Da`kor as I don't think Da`kor does much with anyone but Ice Clan. Imagine that, it's not all about YOU! I say if Burro does not want to point fingers, why force him. I'm sure if the guild he is insinuating is really based on greed, they'll get the rep they deserve anyway. For everyone else that does have good things going, it's all good.

To clear things up, I think Burro is talking about Midnight Sojourn, the guild I am currently a proud member of. I've never been one to hide things, and I try to post things straight up. If you feel like accusing a guild on a Public Board, please don't beat around the bush. Furthermore, it's impolite to post a flame of another guild in a totally unrelated thread. So, to sum it up Burro: If you want to flame another guild: 1) Don't be a chicken shit, post there name. 2) Don't hide it in a thread that has no relation to what you are talking about. 3) Maybe talk to someone in the guild. nuff' said.

Greed in all of its forms is the corrupter of all that is good, having said that I want to go up a few and say this statement wasnt pointed at anyone or any guild, it is a general statement reflecting how almost all problems in eq as in rl stem from greed. I have no problem with guilds getting gear for there own people but I think what I have learned and come to enjoy is a new perspective in eq, the challenge, not the loot, sure loots great and PHAT but really what is it? A bunch of pixels. I have come to make many new rl friends out of eq and they have far more value to me as friends then any PHAT loot. Fathomed 3weeks ago when we all went in after dakor cleaned pof completely , and were in there right farming away , just a bunch of misc people it just felt wrong, felt like I was riding the back of others hard work and team work. Sat down thought it over, sure its ever camp if you want it to be evercamp. But I have found much more pleasure from the challenge side, the feeling of breaking pof full pop cold start was the best feeling ive ever had in eq to be honest, thats what im after now, the challenge, sure some UBER loot drops yay great, but I want the challenge of taking 24 , 30 people and working as a team and knocking off the big shit. Sure well fail alot, sure there will be bad days but the first time ct falls at my feet or inno, it will all be worth it. Take poh for instance, were is the challenge in sitting in a corner for 8 hrs looking at a wall were no mobs are gonna touch ya? None. Went up there for a few days and made my plans, learned how certain mobs attack and svs needed and the lay of the land. Found another camp spot that is only aggroed by 2 roamers and is much closer to alot of statics and a good camp spot to clear a path to the spiral, gonna try it next time. My guild is still a baby I guess ya can say , but were learning and ogmuk your right , the friends have come out of the woodwork but i am going to maintain what it always has been, friends who want to work as a team for each other and the biggest challenges we can attempt to overcome, hence the guild. Were going to try and break pof full pop tonight and see how far to ct we can get in a good time limit, we might fail, we might break it but at least its a challenge. Drall Daboff | |||||||||

Nice post drall. Its all about having a team of players that are not out to better themselves but the team. I will say i am proud of my guild and love our team as whole. What nobody really gets to see outside of our guilds is the generousity that flows inside our guilds its pretty amazing and ive never seen it shown as much. Take our SK's for example the only fighting that i see between these guys is they argue that the other should get the loot. Also, sorry to see you not have any plane loot ablazen, sad when i seen others from ms have almost a full suit. Padangg da`kor

I decided to go back and delete my posts because I know nothing good would come of it and only worsen things. I understand that there are many ways events can be perceived in EverQuest and I do not know who is to blame. I know I probably shouldnt of posted this in the first place but I had some things on my mind and now i realize I should of talked to someone instead of posting this on a public board. Me and some of my guild members probably took the events in the wrong way while you guys may not of noticed we were getting aggitated. What has been said has been said and what has been done has been done but I have chose to not drag it out and make it any worse.

I don't do planes anymore. I play this game to have fun, a break from the pressures of RL, I don't want to be sitting on a ledge listening to 30 people screaming at each other about aquireing a small file to be added onto thier character record on a server someware in California. The way some people take it so seriously is incredible you'd think they Just need some different coloured armour with 1 or 2 better AC than their old armour or they just can't survive on the face of Norrath. Get a grip people, there is nothing you can do in a full suit of plane gear that you can't do in a set of Bronze. It's just tinted a different colour! What I have found causes most problem is the lack of communication between groups when in the plane. Maybe when first orginized there is a specific loot plan, who get's what drop's and how the randoms are orginized But once the initial group starts to leave and others are brought in, choas insues. People should be told as they enter the plane, there is no chance you will get loot today as there is someone here who's been here 15 hours waiting for a pop. Of course no one will do this because my bet the ONLY reason 90% of the people would be willing to enter a plane would be to aquire loot. If these replacement people were told they had no chance to get any loot, they simply would not come and the raid would fizzle. So they are simply not told this until a item is dropped (maybe several hours later). Your can imagine their frustration when told that they had just spent 6 hours of dieing for no possible gain. That is when all the screaming starts (and I'm not talking about any specific raid, I have seen this on EVERY raid I've been on). Maybe we should get together as a server community and work out some loot rules for the planes, so people know what to expect when joining a raid either at the start or in mid stream. I'm sure it would ease a lot of the frustration felt by people if they had a preset understanding of what they can expect. I know people were tired, but this was inexcusable. Desirae and Kegolan were the only Druids in fear at the time. Some Druid armor dropped. A random went up and Desirae won it. Whooopps. It was then decided that since she got a belt previously that Keg should get the new armor. Fine. Cept Keg was asleep and nobody could reach him / get to his pc and get him to loot. So instead of Desirae being allowed to loot, she stood there and watched as the armor poofed. Inexcusable people. Even if you are sleepy. Keg may have deserved the armor and been ther "forever", and I agree in trying to get it for him, but not at the expense of letting it poof. He fell asleep, he lost out. That's fair. I left fear as a result of this and 2 Valorium drops that instead of being randomed went to people deemed more worthy because they had been there longer. This announcement that ALL pally's were not to be included ONLY came after the drops. Why not tell people the loot list beforehand? Next time, when I enter fear, tell me I'm 9th in line for Valorium so I don't have to waste my time and die for something I don't have a reasonable chance at? I'm not greedy. I just want to be treated fair. And judging from all the tells I got from the other 5-6 pally's there, they didn't feel treated fairly either. -- | |||||||||

Sure it's cool to do a dragon once or twice or planes just to see/experience it. But after that you want loot and a fair chance at it. Try telling the guy in lguk that's been there an hour he can't be in the random for the SMR/Mith/TBB/FBSS etc etc, and that Joe Blow gets it because he's been there 10 hours. Doesn't work that way. People need incentive to be in a group and risk death. Even moreso outside of guild activities. I don't deny that it SUCKS to lose planes armor to a guy that's been there 3 hours, while you have been there 15, but that's luck of the draw IMO. Unless you were part of the original plane break, your time there has little bearing on randoms. Epsecially once the raid opens up to "all comers" to stay alive. Us new guys help you maintain control of the planes, after the breakers fall asleep or move on. We need an incentive to be there, as there is no experience, and high risk of death. TO Mr. Anon My guild and salvation had POF planned on friday, was it my fault that DG went the previous night? Should we just abandon our preparations just because someone went in before us? Also when we zoned in, all the roamers repopped and we had to break in again from the safe ledge. Yes it was not a full zone repop, but it was hard enough. I am not a planar expert, neither is my guild, but atleast we want to learn how to do it. So flame us for our attempt, I am sorry we are not so L33T as you are. On the Side note Draco wasn't killed by DG. We went in and killed him. They cleared a very small portion of fear, we did the rest. nuff said.

I am sorry that the piece of druid armor decayed. Kegolan was asleep and we thought we had his password and tried to log him in. I was not the leader of the raid at that time, it happened on sunday after most of us were there for 40+ hours, we were all tired as hell and made some mistakes, but we have not distributed shit to our guild. Everything was fairly randomed, so unless u have proof, I would not post again.

My personnal belief is loot should be taken care of at the class lv, but due to the amount of greed(on MOST raids) this is not a viable procedure. As for that night one piece of shiverback was dropped and since the other monk there didn't have any yet i told him to take it. I know this is no great show of unselfishness but if other classes would work harder to strengthen there bretheren it would be a far more enjoyable game for everyone. lets just make ONE big huge fookin guild, invite everyone. mass control the whole planes, dragons whatever. ive spent 2 16 hour shifts in pof to date...not as much as most by far. but in those 32 odd hours my only loot was a star ruby. i cant count how many others got blighted and cryosilk. i was the very first body to enter fear that weekend. do i really care they all got stuff and i had been there longer then ANYONE there all weekend? no....well.... honestly i was frustrated and bummed..but not because they popped in and got something. its just random. random is random people....if you been there 16 hrs....or 5 hrs....or 2....and someone else has been there 24 hours in a row. a random role is still a random role. if you get it..you were meant to get it...if not...DUH you werent meant to have it. if everyone helped everyone else get full planes gear....next time you go in they cant even use it so GASP you get it. thats my philosophy. at some point i WILL have full blighted. so if someone else is in fear with me....and they just got there. and they get the blighted robe. well i know next good blighted that drops i just got a far better chance. at FG last time i went recently, the no drop mask that Rokyl drops was randomed between 2 people. me and one other. i had been on various raids quite a bit of late... he won the random. did i whine and cry OMG i been trying for weeks ..... hell no i said grats. i even posted a grats on this board. i get just as much thrill seeing ANYONE get some awesome item....same as if i get it. it means all OUR TEAMWORK has at least paid off somehow. so to all you greedy people, and all you who just HAPPEN to goof up loot randoms. actions speak louder then words. and what goes around...comes around. Ok, as far as breaking in to full repop, how many more times is this gonna happen? With so many high levels wanting to do the planes, hell, there is always someone gonna be there. I did not care if there was a full repop or not..this was my first trip to any plane and was just excited that I had been given the opportunity to go. Kegolan kept a master list of everyone that was in there by class and randomed drops from that list. Just about every paly that was in there Friday night got something (not all of them from UI). First Dweamorvine Garland went to Dafydd (don't think he's in UI). And the Bone Clasped Girdle was won by me over 22 other players, some members of UI (however, I am not one). If you are gonna flame someone, at least get your facts straight "Interstalker". On a lighter note, like I said, this was my first trip to the planes and I had a friggin blast!! Only died twice that night, once right when I zoned in and right after we killed the dracoliche, CT gave me the finger. Other than that we had a very competent group with some fabulous pulling done by Kaane. Very few deaths and fun had by all. I hated that I could not have stayed for the CT attempt but in a way I'm glad I was spared all the bickering over loot. Id like to clear up a few things... We (United Independent and Salvation) did infact break into PoF. We did not know DG broke "some" of it earlier but we broke a good portion of the wanderers. Also we do not enter PoF to farm we entered it to have fun, try something new and hopefully be the 2nd people in EM to take out CT. We did not cheat anyone out of any loot for any reason... As for me falling asleep (i dont know how) but i gave my password and account to some guildmates in my guild incase of this type of situation. They tried to get me in but couldnt. im sorry to Desirae for her loosing the loot i really am, i wouldnt want any loot to dissappear like it did. I led the raid from satursday 9:30pm eastern time to somewhere around 9 on saturday. When Salv and UI took out Draco in around 45-55 seconds with 2 deaths(from CT's DT's) We cleared out more mobs and attempted to kill CT. We got CT to 10% when he threw everyone. thats when things got nuts so it was repopping and we had to do major CR. DG and Ins took over the raid then left sunday at 8:00pm eastern time thats when i took over leadership of the raid. Id like to clear something up if a person has been in PoF for more than 30 hours straight waiting for armor or whatnot, and a person zoned in 1-2 hours ago i think the person waiting 30 hours should get... but thats my opinion. we took votes on stuff and had everything fairly randomed. Id like to congradulate Seerng and Yotyot from my guild of getting Carmine robes. Finally to everyone that wants to know United Independent got off on the wrong foot with UI and UI has changed from supposedly not normal to a regular guild as well as all the people in it. Also we do not farm anything because we know we can get the armor back easily the weekend after next. P.S. thanks to all the people that came and pulled for us you were all very cool at the raid and hope to raid with you again. Oh geez, guess i better get started.... Firstly about UI and Salvation "Farming" PoF. All i can say is BS. Im sorry, but when we went in there was a hella lot of mobs up there, my guildmistress died as soon as she zoned, i dragged her corpse to near safe ledge and was then agro'd, so i had to run away and die. (YIPPEE!) I also had to watch Carathos die right in front of me, and i couldnt do a thing about it. Secondly about what Haknukem said. a)"Bingo. People camp for loot. Period. Sure it's cool to do a dragon once or twice or planes just to see/experience it. But after that you want loot and a fair chance at it." b)"Us new guys help you maintain control of the planes, after the breakers fall asleep or move on. We need an incentive to be there, as there is no experience, and high risk of death." a+b=farmer with sour grapes cause he didnt get his Valorium helm.(He didnt leave till after the Helm mess, funny isnt that). As for Geneb and the Valorium helm, yes he looted too fast, it was a mistake. But it was another pally that told him to loot. As to staying up, well let me say this, screw you. I myself am not a farmer, i do like to get my armor (which everyone does), but i did tell them to leave me out of rolls for Umbral NUMEROUS TIMES. I wasnt in it for the loot, I was there to kill CT and the Draco and have the pleasure of seeing Kaane with a Soul Leech and Zackulle with a Monsoon (which didnt happen  ). To do

"I don't deny that it SUCKS to lose planes armor to a guy that's been there 3 hours, while you have been there 15, but that's luck of the draw IMO. Unless you were part of the original plane break, your time there has little bearing on randoms. Epsecially once the raid opens up to "all comers" to stay alive." It wasnt, it was INVITE ONLY. Eighth, Desirae and the druid armor. Yes, Kegolan earned them. Yes, Desirae should have been allowed to loot the vermiculated vambraces. If Desirae had looted, we wouldnt have had half the problems with some ppl bitching later on. And i was upset when she lost out. Ninth, Cazic Thule. /g hes coming Sharasali begins to cast a spell. A vortex of shadows has surrounded Fright. Sharasali says 'Ahhh i feel much better....' Cazic Thule shouts 'SHARASALI!' You have died! You have lost a level. You are now level 48! Scared the hell outta me, but was the funniest part of the raid for me.

I think a definiton of farming is needed. My definition would be that if someone breaks pof and stays longer then 14 hours then they are farming repops. I htink everyone can pretty much agree with that. As for greed: I was asked to round up 10 people to help you guys take out cazic...Me and each of the other 10 were in shock about the fights that went on about loot...I think there was planety of greed present. And for insulting haknukum....funny how bubu and seering asked our guild to bring people in..he decided to be the only one to go for one reason or another. He knew nothing about what was and wasnt dropped before he zoned in. Lastly, the 10 people I brought in got no loot, no thank you, no nothing. They helped pull some corpses from under cazics feet after trying, and then left. Everyone felt they were asked to come kill/try to kill cazic for kaane to get a soul leech and for them to loose a lvl or 2 and get NO thank you or appreciation for it. My conclusion..what went on in fear this past weekend is not something most people will want to deal/put up with. *tries to keep his damn mouth shut, but this post was asking for me to relpy to it*

I really HATE to align myself with Verant in terms of their "vison" but I have to in terms of POF. I really think that zone was meant to be cleared and then left for the next group, but the current spawn time doesnt help at all. Im going to write up a proposal soon, with something that Gerome posted a while back, and see if it gets any support. If any of you have ever run amok in POF and clicked on things you might have noticed the GIANT Hourglass. I believe that when you click on it currently it says either, "you can reach this" or "you dont have the key". Its been a while since I fooled with it so forgive me. At any rate, my plan would be to clear the zone and _activate_ the hourglass which would act as a repop timer. Once clicked it would countdown. When its done it checks for ZERO PC/NPC population. If its TRUE/TRUE it would respawn the entire zone(possibly less the UBER MOBs). Of course this would do nothing to stop people from slowly farming so that the roamers respawned before the last static MOB was killed thus never actually clearing the zone. Its just an idea, but IMHO something needs to be done to stop the 4 day long marathons, lists, etc... Vendrix | |||||||||

Ok i have never been to a plane , hopefully one day i will, But after reading all these post over and over i am confused as hell. Everyone talks about how hard a plane is , and how everyone needs to be on there toes cause it can get ruff at any time. Then in the same line of post we see where people are falling asleep all the time. Do you people not care about the safty of your group. If you are falling asleep then go to bed. It is not worth you staying or trying to stay awake to get that one peice of equipt. People say how the planes are so different from camping the king room lets say in solb , But i can bet if someone feel asleep in the king room then you would get a replacment for them right. Why not in the planes. Now i am finally getting high enough that I can go on raids and such of the effiti in solb, I know that one mistake can get your party killed, isnt it the same for the planes where if one falls asleep esp a druid with gate is just as bad. keg isnt a bad person but jesus he fell asleep having the item go away when another person that was there can use it is just greed, keg was asleep, thus wasnt there, and thus wasnt be a active part of the team in my opionion he was forfit. Or if we go that way then, Since I am in solb now can i be randomed on the fbss in lower guk , so i am not there and helping who cares, its just like keg being asleep. I deserve my chance at Phat lewt i have been part of the team that broke a spawn in lower guk 7 hours ago before i left so put me in the random it dont mean crap that i am gone now.. Well I see alot of people here who dont care about loot. Alot of people who like to do planes because they are planes and a challenge. I also have seen the other side, friends in other guilds having to turn their backs on friends cause they were not in the guild. Good players being used since they were not in the break in group or guild, and not allowed to loot. Does that make us feel good? I recall a few weeks ago, DB hosted a raid, we had people from all sorts of guilds, if you were a friend...hey come along. Storms Fury, Tarsis, Deaths Embrace and many others were represented. We kicked some ass, no one was excluded on loot, everyone had a chance, and everyone had fun. Loot rules were in place, and no one got upset. I am tired of seeing old friends lost because of guilds, people who you spent 30 levels gaming with suddenly ignore ya because you are not in the guild of the moment. This has happened to me, and this has happened to others I know. What is more important guilds or friends? Loot or friends? Now we are planning another raid, so I send tells to friends...individuals....and instead of being able to confirm They had
ultimatums,"Well I can only come if my guild can have a group up there."

If someone falls asleep while we're in the planes, we make them go LD for their own safety(if you know how great, if you dont Im not going to explain. Im sure its frowned upon by GMs). One person in a group of 30+ really doesnt make that significant of an impact. As for the Druid having gate, thats a moot point. No one evacs from the POF, at least they arent suppose to. I dont know how loot is distributed on your raids, but let me make a suggestion. When starting the raid designate ONE person to handle ALL randoms. When a piece drops(armor, gem, whatever) its called out via shout and all those that would like in the random message A_designated_randomer00. If you arent awake to send him a tell then you are out, problem solved. Loot priority should be worked out and agreed upon by all BEFORE entering the plane(read: people on break get first dibs) if any agreement is to be made at all. just have to say that vendrix's idea on the hourglass thing was great, will eliminate any lists and will mean that everyone that enters plane of fear must be able to break it and 'earn' the equipment they get. At the moment if a group arives just after another group has left the plane is broke, its just waiting for respawns and killing them as they apear, no challenge, no fun. with that hourglass idea, there would be no killing respawns. And i think all the uber mobs should be respawned too.. whats fear raid without the death touches =).. Ainianu

To cut down on repop farming, I always though it would be cool if no mob would load loot until its been alive for at least 3 hours. Probably impossible to code though.

Cuchulain: As far as ultimatums, I have done this prior. Monks and clerics are always being invited on raids and the others usually have to wait for their guild to do something. I figure if said guild is going to benifit from my pulling a plane than they should be willing to give up a small piece of the loot as payment. IN MOST CASES, if they don't have a monk/cleric they don't get shit cept a spot at the dead zone shouting for a group. (This is Synjyn's policy and i have adopted it) Now sat. I heard they needed folks and i was bored as hell and I messaged Kegolan. I didn't demand to bring a group. When someone asks for me to help them, than i usually do. Just wanted to say that I think it was super kewl and UNGREEDY of Seering to random off his SMR to another cater in the zone when he got his Carmine Robe (grumble hehe jk). And I think I will follow suit if I ever get a carmine or cryosilk robe... its gotta feel good to make someones day like that. Ohh yhea on the wizards not wanting to go to hate.. hell I love goin to hate feels good to be needed for once. Vendrix and elwyn, those ideas sound really great. If some way of re poping the zone or having a loot timer could be implemented, it would benefit everyone. Farming to me is not only when you come into an already broken plane. Its when you can stay up from friday to sunday pretty much the whole time and hold down a plane. That isnt fair to the other 300 lvl 46+ on the server. "I almost cried from laughing so hard when i saw Haknukems "Lvl 48 Pally looking for a group" He'd heard about the 5 valorium drops in 6 pulls and wanted in." Im sure you have some wonderful documentation which gave you this ridiculous claim he only went after 5 valo pieces dropped. Ok, Im not going to try and start a flame war but you obviously have no clue what happened. We were ASKED to bring a group to fear FYI. This was also before Hak learned about all the loot. Hak has gone on a lot of guild raids and gotten NOTHING. He is one of the most unselfish people I've ever seen. It'll take a whole essay to describe how good a guy he is, but your description of him is twisted and immature. Dont even try to make it sound like he just zoned in. He was disappointed because he was not informed before zoning in that he had ZERO chance of loot. He had to wait until 2 other paladins received loot because they are there longer. If this is your way of distributing loot, that is absolutly fine. Just tell people before they zone in that this is how it is going to be. To the guy who posted anon... come on man. Have the guts to post your name. Good job on breaking the plane guys.

Yikes what a depressing thread I go to the planes because I don't have to deal with the bs of Guk and sol b and lists and groups. You know why because I get so tired of L3wt whores. I have been in fear for about 200 hours and hate for about 75-100. I have gotten 4 shiverback pieces, 2 diamonds, and a cash prize and some runes words etc. I gave away one of my diamonds to Onyyn. Almost all my runes, words etc have been given to others to make spells. Point is I enjoy others getting outfitted. Sure I would like a chance at loot, but you know what I know my chance will come. Sure we have 5 monks going on planar drops but you know what at least we get drops. Wizards for so long were screwed. Shaman, Magicians, Enchies, Rogues, Warriors are screwed. Every single monk has 1 piece and many have more. In my guild there are 5 monks as primary, Me, Kizmet, Atrapos, Beba, Narukami (Naru hasn't played in a while
Atrapos has the sode of empowerment shiver tunic shiver gloves shiver legs. Kizmet has shiver gloves rashuka cloak maybe a piece or two more of shiver Beba has shiver legs, bracer gloves maybe more, I have 2 bracers, legs, gloves, Naru has some shiver too. Point is we need several more runs to finish but what is the hurry? Why race enjoy the zones. Fear is fun but also can be annoying. Hate is buggy as hell and the drops suck but the clerics are gettin purple. Sky so far is the best zone and by fasr the most difficult. You can't do anything in sky without getting to the third isle at least. The Fiery avenger will be tough to obtain until expansion then anybody capable of getting to the 4th isle and getting the rest of the parts will be able to. My point is practice now practicew your breaks for the sake of being prepared and knowing how to fight and break areas. Farming only gets you better gear but it doesn't teach you how to break or kill dragons or gods which is the most important part. Breaking teaches you how act quick, anticipate and learn the paterns of your fellow groupmates and learn how mobs react. That is the key to the game. You can have all the great equip in the world but if you don't understand the aforementioned things you still won't be successful. This is why the manastone nerf was a joke. Ok lets start from the top. Me being rude and condecending, well Im sorry if i was actung that way, but as of yet i have not turned up to a raid uninvited, advertised that i was free for group like in lower guk. Im sure that if I turned up to a Da`kor and Ice Clan (sorry to use you guys, but best example i can think of, correct me if you would do something different), PoF raid half way through, they would either tell me to leave, or if they did let me stay they would put me at the bottom of the looting list. As for the looting, well the loot handler was actually Kegolan, guess what, he was asleep. Joyous. Let me recap on what was actually decided on the initial UI raid. (if i recall wrong just correct me) The idea was that anyone who had started from the break (or repop)would get first rolls on any plane armor dropped. Then once the initial people had got a piece, then the people that joined during the raid would get their chance. Does anyone see anything unfair with this? My point about the farming remark, and i realise now farming was the wrong word (you try typing appropriately after being up for 30hours), was that you joined purely in the interest of joining to get PoF armor easily, because of the high drop rate that we had. I could be wrong and that you never heard about it. But i think thats unlikely. "I left after being left out of 2 Valorium drops and the screw up with Desirae's Druid armor. " Yes Desiraes armor was a screw up. Everyone spent way too long bitching. Uh.. no matter what people say.. loot is important to a lot of us for various reasons. And morz... a lot of the times one item doesn't really make the difference... but sometimes it can... items like the god/draco/maestro dropped weapons, or the bone clasped girdle, or the necro focus, or a planar BP or robe, do make a lot of difference in terms of the capability of your character. And a full suit of planar armor can make an enormous difference. A good caster suit (since that's the equipment I know I'll talk about it) can give roughly 400 more HP (or 20-30 ac if that's your favor), 500 more mana, and maybe 10-20 or so points to each resist. That's huge. If you care about loot (and I think that caring about loot has a bad name on emarr, and it shouldn't, it isn't synonymous with greed), it's a good rule of thumb to always ask, and always tell, the loot rules before joining a raid. If the rules as you were told are not followed, then you have my blessing to raise a shitstorm on the board, and hopefully that raiding team will never get help from anyone ever again. If however the rules were followed, but you weren't happy, you have no right to complain - you joined fully aware of them. kzz

I'm a relative newbie to planes and went this 2nd time for the fun of it, and the chance at Valorium. Heard nothing about massive drops. I'm glad, after that raid, it always been a pleasure in the planes with my friends (Da`Kor, Ice and GDIs) :) PS: Yes we still have some "occasions", who doesn't with a group of 50+? Ahhh ic, For your clarification there has been NO MS lead PoF raid since Ablazen joined us =) I´ve "known" Ablazen since my Unrest days (the bastard had more plats than me and was always auctioning for bronze armor..hehe) and been guilded with him in BoM = I consider him a very good friend. If any Valorium drops on a MS raid I´ll personally step out of any Valorium random where one of our ppl without a single piece is attending (Gallux/Ablazen)...and I´m sure the rest of our Paladins will do the same. Bleh, what it comes down to is that I have good friends in EQ, and again, thats all the matters to me when said and done. As a matter of fact, i'm happy Thadew (who i've known for a long time) has aquired almost a full set. He, as he's posted, is a good friend, who i've known for a long time. It would be lying however saying i didn't want any valorium =) Damn right i do! Oh...and a sprinkler, and CoF, and..um..that's it for now.

/EM pets nice doggie /EM pets nice ogre dont get me wrong i like loot and yes rubicite does get old after 4 months of wearing it. so im not immune to wanting newer nicer things. i remember months back when i was still in 40s and rumla and ogmuk were 50.rumla urging me to get 50 hurry up , so me and him could get some hate armor just like oggie. hehe oggie we were talking about ya behind your back ) i would randomly /t ogmuk and tell him that rumla has dual kedge totems haha we should team up and camp rumla. then id tell rumla we should team up and camp ogmuk for his armor. this was all in fun . dont see my bro rumla much anymore or anyone else i was friends with anymore. little by little we are quitting the game maybe not as far as cancelling our accounts, but playing lower level chars or just playing less . i am doing both i play less as chuk and play more as my ranger. i like posting here becuase i see more of my old friends who i played with day in and out leveling in our little dungeons making jokes and being decent ppl. in my opinion highkeep is the best zone in the game, hands down. no loot to bitch over sweet experiance all the way up to lv 40. you can bind there. get food there and if ya pull a little too much you can sissy run all the way to the guards. many other reasons why i love that zone , but the best reason is that the friends you make there. i wish there was a lv 40+ zone that was like that. The problem here is mentioned peopel should not be staying up for 44 hours in a row. Sleep is much more important than a game. Sure I have pull EQ all-nighters but 44 hours??? That is almost 2 days without sleep for what a chance at some pixels?? Da`ice did the all night in december because they weren't sure how easy it would be to break fear again and didn't realize the fear breaking on weedays would be possible. Once Da`ice realized that this wasn't the case we started just breakin in cleaning the zone and leaving. Why you say. Well we realized that we could do other things instead of waiting 4-6 hours for a repop. Plus we were all tired from 8-10 hours of action. We haven't been to fear in weeks now. Sure we'd like to go back as soon as possible since may need still need armor but we focus on Air plane and hate as well. Unfortunately nobody else is yet attacking sky. The reason is behind that is that to get reward from sky you must put in a lot of work whereas with fear it is a mimial investment of time not cash. Sky is time and money. As much as we hate the money sink that sky is it prevents some of the loot issues that fear and hate cause because it will cost ya 360pp+ to get your corpse back. Sometimes it is best to keep your mouth shut and just bite your tongue, for me this is one of those times but I am choking on the rank hypocrsy coming out in this post from Drall. Disclaimer* If by any chance Drall sold his account and this Drall is actually someone who bought the account then I take back every word I am going to say as it will not apply to him. I spent all this time in highpass mostly grouped up. Drall would sit on the rock in the corner where the orcs spawn and try to killsteal EVERY mob that popped, as this was before group damage was introduced he was quite succesful at it too. I lost count of the times people would ask him not to do this, or maybe to share or rotate (and FYI neither highpass nor ANY other zone in the game is FFA, FFA does NOT exist). Dralls response to these requests was always pretty much the same, something along the lines of: 'Heh keep tanking the mobs for me you loser!' You get the picture. I watched him do this for day after day after day, some people would rant at him, most would start off polite and then get wound up after hearing his response. He went out of his way to fuck people off and to ruin their enjoyment so that he could level faster, he had no scruples, no sympathy and no common courtesy. To see him spouting about greed being a bad thing after all that he did to so many people, some of whom probably left the game as a direct cause of his actions, well it makes me sick. You might say ahh but he is a reformed person now, he is a nice guy, he helps his guild etc etc etc You know what? i really dont give a fuck. Taking xp from me annoyed the hell out of me, sure it did, but what really got to me was his actions and attitude towards other players. We have a few assholes on the server, all servers do, but i would do a CR from naggy or planes for all of them if they needed it......all except for Drall. Those of you who know me know that I am not a nasty person, but i tell you I would gladly sit and watch his corpse rot and have a party afterwards, anyone that can act as he did deserves no sympathy, deserves no second chance, they are scum pure and simple. Is this harsh? its just the truth that I witnessed with my own eyes, nothing more, nothing less. Have I irretrievably annoyed some people? well maybe thats the price for speaking my mind and i gladly pay it to speak for all the poor bastards whose day he ruined. Mitch Da'Furious

hmmm i have to agree with Kzz big time. Hmm Mitch, I really can understand where you are coming from. I've been ks'd and offended by a number of people who are high lvl now and act all nice but were assholes back in unrest. Just ignore em and get on with playing. If you have a problem with them in the same plane or whatever, then dont go. They are the people who many times will join any guild and kiss any ass for loot. Ive seen a number of people miraculously change once they hit 50 and realised you cant KS anymore so decide to make friends and act the nice guy. Let them though . Seriously dont worry about it. Draw your own conclusions from that. Then I met people like Dyran, and Tryst and a horde of people who were just plain old out and out self sacrificing,and I changed drall into what I am in rl, a caring giving honest person. If you want to judge me forever for a instance that happened 5 months ago so be it but there is no reason to flame on a public board when I have not said a word to anyone, now you have pissed me off and rightly so. Well, before Ogmuk does the sensible thing and locks this thread, I'd like to make one more comment (surprised?). Lemme tell you a little story. About two months ago, I got invited by a friend on an efreeti lord raid. This raid consisted mainly of Storm's Fury (before they got disbanded and reformed) and a couple of other people. Well, Drall was there. So, we get up to the room and set up camp. Well, Drall bound himself in the room so he could port people out when they were ready to go. Well time goes by, we get a few boots (Drall got the 3rd of 4th pair) and people leave. Well, at about 3 in the morning, we are left there, me, Drall, Slayne, Eisogewen and Lith...all members of Storm's Fury except for me. That's right, 2 wizards, 2 clerics and a druid holding the room, no tank or pet of any kind. Well at 4 am, Eisogewen won his boots (all boots were randomed between all that could use...I just lost alot ) and I
was getting a little discouraged. Well, the next pop was a placeholder and
after we dispatched him, I told them "Look, it's pretty late and if you
guys are ready to get out of here, I totally understand..I am pretty tired
as well." Well, without any time to think at all, Drall's immediate
response was "No. We are staying until EVERYONE gets boots" Well I was
taken aback. It wouldn't have bothered me if we left...no hard feelings at
all, but he and crew insisted we stay until I got my boots as well. Well,
next pop was the efreeti and I got my boots, thanks for Drall and Storm's
Fury.If he had been the loudmouth, selfish prick that you paint him to be, he would have left after recieving his boots and damn the rest of us, but he didn't. He could have easily left after the last person in his guild got boots....I even suggested doing so, but he didn't. Point is, people can change and the only other times I've seen Drall, he's been a very nice person. Hell, I remember one day playing my twink warrior in Oasis. I shot an arrow, hit a croc and he started coming at me. Well, after the croc started coming my way, there was Mitch who started to attack the croc. Well, being about 5 levels my senior, she got the kill. We tried explaining to her that we shot it first, otherwise it would not have come for me (and it was full health to boot) but she insisted she attacked first. Well, I was mad about that for maybe 5 minutes and then I went about my business. So, using your logic am I to believe you are the same KSing monk you were that day in Oasis? Amazing that people can crap on so long about something so negative. After reading this thread I barely had the energy to post. Why not calm down and take a break from EQ if its getting you so riled up. Real life is soo much more important. Go outside, enjoy the sunshine, play a sport, go dancing or even go drinking if you feel like it. Arguments like this occur when people are playing too much EQ (as with the alleged 44hours straight). Naturally things are going to fuck up when you have been there that long. Others have said this before on this post and I going to repeat it one more time for the dummies. You dont get mugged in EQ. You dont get beaten up by people you dont know in broad daylight (unless your on PvP). You cant get raped in EQ if you dont want to (well you can stop it if you are). Our society is SICK. Full of perverts, assholes, muggers, rapists, hoodlums and criminals. Ever walked in the dark and wondered if someone was watching you? Look beneath that thin veneer of civilisation and you might realise why EQ is so appealing to some of us. Our world is fucked up, and some of you in your nice houses and plenty of cash are safe in your homes and go out and have fun with your friends dont realise it. Welcome to Real Life. EQ is an escape from our world, where people are nicer, people tend to work together. They dont go around deliberately trying to fuck each other over most of the time. How many of you would help a person getting beaten up? Now how many of you would do it in EQ? Lot more isnt there? And btw, what do some people do when they are at work? Play EQ. What do some people do when they should be doing homework? Playing EQ. What do some people do when they are bored? They play EQ. What do you do? You play EQ. Ummmmm.......i actually forgot the point of what i was trying to put across. Oh well. Oh yes, forgot to mention, staying up for 44 hours is a great way to loose weight. As if you eat anything in that time, you usually just get tired and fall asleep.

Shar, Will you risk going to the store to buy the next computer game that comes out? Geez, world isn't as bad as you make it out to be. Actually I yoinked it from a "Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" fan site when I was in college. Most Douglas Adams fans probably recognized it as the little planet on the cover. It was so long ago though, I can't remember which site it was.
